NC delegates visit pagodas, churches in Yangon City

YANGON, 13 March — As it being a holiday, under the arrangement of the National Convention Convening Management Committee and Reception and Accommodation Sub-Committee, the delegates to the National Convention visited pagodas and churches in Yangon today.

The NC delegates, accompanied by Secretary of the National Convention Convening Reception and Accommodation Sub-Committee Maj Myint Tun and officials, visited Shwedagon Pagoda this morning. The NC delegates donated K 130,190 to the funds of the pagoda and offered water, lights and joss sticks to the Buddha images at the pagoda.

Afterwards, they proceeded to Sutaungpyae Melamu Pagoda in North Okkalapa Township and donated K 84,135 to the funds of the pagoda.

Similarly, the Christian NC delegates visited Christian Yeiktha in Tamway Township and St George Anglican Church in Mingaladon Township.
