NC delegates visit pagodas, churches

YANGON, 20 March — Under the arrangement of Invitation and Accommodation Subcommittee of National Convention Convening Management Committee, NC delegates paid a pilgrimage visit to Shwe-mawdaw Pagoda and observed Kanbawzathadi Palace in Bago Township, Bago Division yesterday morning.

Next, they donated cash K 66,820 to offer Shwethingan to the pagoda and went round the pagoda clock-wise and offered water, lights and joss sticks.

On arrival at Kanbawzathadi Palace, they were briefed on background history of the palace by assistant curator of Archaelogical Department of the Ministry of Culture. They arrived at Nyaunghnapin Camp later in the morning. Similarly, Christian NC delegates together with officials of Invitation and Accommodation Subcommittee visited Toungthukon Kayin Baptist and Lahu Baptist Churches in Insein Township yesterday morning.
