Perpetration endangering not only Myanmar but also international community

There exist in Myanmar some crawlers relying on aliens and holding negative views, and committing perpetration to cause unrest and hardships in the country. The cause of internal unrest and hardships, according to their view, will make way for them and their masters of the West to interfere in the country’s affairs at will. As their perpetration to put Myanmar under alien domination failed, they went further making attempts to present the Myanmar issue to the UN Security Council, with Vaclav Havel and Desmond Tutu as puppets for the cause. The submissive group even arrogantly announced the number of papers that have been submitted to the UN secretary-general to act in Myanmar.

But the 54 million people of Myanmar remain stable and calm as they are not afraid of and have no interest in the report of perpetration at all. As for the entire people of Myanmar, the anarchy and evil incidents they had witnessed during the 1988 unrest was enough for them to understand that the victims suffering from the ill consequences will be no other persons than they themselves if there occur instability and hardships inside the nation. Besides, big troubles, bloodbaths and disintegration some East Europe countries had faced not long ago due to their democracy transitions according to the West’s wish left as valuable lessons for the global peoples.

In addition, the world is witnessing the daily carnage the peoples of Afghanistan and Iraq are facing in a hellish situation created by the armed occupation of the US and some western nations posing themselves as liberators.

Myanmar today is witnessing disturbances because of the US and its western allies that are imposing economic sanctions on her, cutting off humanitarian aid to her and launching unjust interferences in her affairs. It has been a common knowledge for all Myanmars that those destructive acts are totally behind the decreasing productivity and increasing unemployment in the country. What’s more, some western media are making instigation to break up Myanmar, instead of assisting her in a constructive way.

As Myanmars see the destructive acts of the US and its western allies and their lackeys, they are opposing those destructive forces. Similarly, the international community is opposing the selfish acts of the US and its allies. President Bush after coordinating with his inner circle drew the plan to invade Iraq. But even today, the US invasion of Iraq remains a puzzle for the American people. Bush after deceiving his own people with wide propaganda network invaded Iraq. Critics said that because of those insincere acts nothing has gone according to plan in the Iraq venture. America is paying a high price including a lot of blood of its people for its failed venture.

At present, the entire world is criticizing the US. The Middle East countries are comparing the US with the past British colonialists.

Observers say that the invasion reveals the fact that the US has no clear nuclear non-proliferation policy; and that its double-standard policy on Iraq will only cause confusion.

The confused and pitiful foreign policy records of the US include the military-related economic opportunities. The US defence budget is rising extremely high. The allotted budgets for Defence Department and Homeland Security Department of the US exceed the total budgets of many other nations. The rising defence budget has made US the largest debtor nation in the world.

Political analysts said that even the countries that had accepted the US their favourable friend in the past were now criticizing it; that nations of East Asia, Europe and Latin America were forming their own regional bodies or were finding means to form such organizations; that the significant thing was that those countries left out the US in forming the organizations; and that the act of those countries to distance themselves from America considering geopolitics was a worrisome situation for the US.

The international community has come to realize that the US involvement in a particular region has become a global concern. The random acts of Bush are giving the US pretty trouble. Bush’s policy ignores both history and the present-day objective situations.

In his recent interview with Newsweek, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said that the Bush administration invaded Iraq; that according to the late Pope John Paul II, Bush’s war was illegal and insincere and stuck to the policy of terrorism; that in Venezuela too, Bush administration tried to plot a coup under the CIA control in 2002; that not long ago, Senator Pet Robertson suggested a plan to assassinate him; that according to international law, Robertson’s act was an act of terrorism; that the media were broadcasting daily the interview on the issue of assassinating him; and that all those acts were none other than terrorism.

These days, a western power and its followers are trying to deceive the UNSC, with exaggerated fabrications to tarnish Myanmar’s image to the worst, just to act in Myanmar that in reality is in the process of peaceful transition to market economy and democracy. They are launching the attack on Myanmar using the report compiled by Havel and Tutu as an excuse.

At the press meet (7/2005) of the Information Committee of the State Peace and Development Council held on 23 October, the Committee Chairman Minister for Information Brig-Gen Kyaw Hsan said as follows concerning the report:

“After perusal, it can be found that the report was based on false information, fabrications and exaggerations collectively made by some western countries, their lackeys opposing Myanmar government and expatriates.

“In addition, the report copied lopsided allegations and norms against Myanmar mentioned in annual reports of a big nation with a view to deceiving international community to misunderstand Myanmar’s affairs.

“Thus, it can be seen that Havel-Tutu report is not an authentic research paper compiled with sincerity. Yet it is almost absolutely the same as “The Crisis in Burma: An Agenda for the UN Security Council?” submitted to the UNSC on 4-10-2003 by fugitive terrorist Sein Win’s NCGUB (so-called National Coalition Government of Union of Burma) and the Burma Fund. As that attempt of Sein Win’s group failed, they tried again to revive the old scheme. Havel and Tutu were used to draw the attention of UN member countries and international communities. All were conspiracies of expatriates and their western masters. Those papers are also put on display for you journalists to view.”

Moreover, the minister refuted the report fact by fact, with nothing but the truth. The perpetration to put a country under one’s domain, with slanders and pressures, is an act endangering not only Myanmar but also all the global nations. Thus, it has become an urgent need all the nations to join hands to ward off such conspiracies.
